KELP SESAME CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
These vegan cookies break all the rules and we are so here for it. Sweet and soft, yet salty and crunchy…oh my! Created by content creator and chef, Chrissy Tracey:
Kelp Sesame Chocolate Chip Cookies (made with Organic Kelp Flake)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1.5 tbsp Atlantic Sea Farms Organic Kelp Flakes
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1 cup plant butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 6-8 tbsp Aquafaba
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp hot water
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Combine all dry ingredients up to the salt, in a large bowl.
Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Beat in the aquafaba, a little at a time, then stir in the vanilla and soy sauce.
Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt.
Add the dry ingredients, mixing to combine until you have a soft, pliable dough. Gently stir in the chocolate chunks. Drop by large spoonfuls onto un-greased pans.
Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden around the edges.
