Cara Blaine

Cara graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2008 and had a career in art and design before following a dream to go back to school to pursue science. Once there, she fell madly in love with seaweed. Her graduate research brought her to Maine, where she focused on the management and early detection of biofouling species on kelp farms. Cara is thrilled to now be doing science at Atlantic Sea Farms. In her free time, Cara likes to cook, swim, and make new work in the studio.
