We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time Controller who is excited to work with a dynamic, mission-driven start-up and become an integral part of achieving our mission. A successful applicant must have experience in Quickbooks Manufacturing, have a strong knowledge of best practices in food manufacturing accounting, and be willing and able to manage the financial operations, procurement, and insurance and HR compliance management for a start-up. This position requires strong computer and research skills, flexibility, efficiency, and a focus on details. Successful candidates provide high-level bookkeeping, procurement, and compliance support and have the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff. This position reports to the CEO and Fractional CFO.

● Accurately and efficiently manage all ASF financials
● Manage ASF’s onsight financial team
● Research and analyze accounting data and work through any issues or questions with relevant staff
● Maintain accurate inventory systems
● Create and manage streamlined, efficient, and effective invoicing and billing processes
● Create and manage procurement workflow in connection with Ops team
● Manage and ensure low rates and effective coverage for all company insurances and payroll vendors
● Help create and track budgets
● Oversee, coordinate, and research company’s grant applications and grant management processes
● Prepare required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports in a timely and efficient manner.
● Assess, correct, and recalibrate COGS assemblies as necessary in line with changing manufacturing costs, etc. and in line with the fractional CFO and CEO

● Effectively manage spending, billing, and record keeping for in-store promotions and sales-marketing activities to ensure accurate billing
● Other related duties as assigned

● This position would be paid an annual base salary of $60-$70K based on experience and will have access to the company’s health benefits package, paid vacation, and a bonus structure based on individual and team performance.
